about this morning fly, my team and i flew at a school field. my cessna take off with a short runway, and it flies smoothly. by making a fixed angle to the flaps, the aircraft float slowly..(before this, i ve used the flaps and connect it to channel 6 but it keeps pitching because of the lift from the flaps effect).
it is really a worth while during the flight. its like the times stop ticking with my eyes closely watched the airplane attitude changing when i moved the control stick.
landing manouver is also a great time, the airplane descent on side of me, and touch the grass field. unfortunately the airplane flip over when it touch the grass.
but no injury or damage happened.
for me, a scaled model like cessna is a very good airplane with its scaled model. although it is a small airplane, but it is enough for a fresh beginner like me that learn from a simulator and advised by my experience colleague friend.
hari ni nak cite pasal cessna skyartec yang dah 2 kali maiden flight. best thing to own an aircraft/airplane although it is a small plane but it is worth a while because we did all by ourself. except the design and fabrication, all the maintenance are done by ourself so we know the art of repairing the airplane.
but one thing, if the airplane is crashed, so the damage is really2 unacceptable. the wing split into two, the engine shaft bend, control surfaces ruined and of course there are lot of thigs happened. thats why for those who are really dont understand on what are they doing on piloting an rc, they are on the wrong way.
today, my cessna have crashed, and this is the second time my cessna crashed.
first crash happened last week, when the front landing gear detached from the airplane. second time crashed when it crashed into trees..hahaha.. but it is quit an experience. although both of the flying crashed, but the cessna survived..thank god...
in the last posting, ive wrote about rc scaled helicopter. from an electric helicopter to a turbine engine helicopter. but, on this post, it is quite different from previous posting, and here i will write about scaled model airplane.
yes, its differs from the helicopter scaled model (i knew you all hoping for me to own a helicopter right !), but i think this point is the best to starts this hobby, before this, my university friend told me, if you want to fly, go get some fixed wing first, and if you have satisfied with the fixed wing, you can go for the rotary wing. at first, i just take his advise lightly, but time after time, i thinked it over and here wa are, scaled model airplane.

dalam 2-3 hari ni asyik tengok rc helicopter je..daripada simulator e-sky yang harga rm80-rm100 sehingga la simulator real flight 6 ch yang harga dia rm350... tapi tak tengok la simulator phoenix dan macam2 lagi yang rege sampai 1k pon ada.exclusive kan?! mmg exclusive....
pastu, dah tengok simulator, mula la tengok youtube pasal model heli ni. actually, 5 bulan lepas ada jugak tengok heli model ni, tengok yg co-axial dan single blades fix pitch jer. time tu mmg rasa nak beli sgt2, tp bila pikir2 balik, nnt kalau crash, mana nak cari duit beli spare part. so, selepas 5 bulan, 2-3 hari lepas, datang balik gian aku ni...ish..tapi takpe, kali ni berfikiran lebih waras kerana telah membaca forum2 rc yang mengatakan bermula dengan simulator sehingga bijak. lepas tu baru boleh scaled yang betul. mmg betul sgt la aku rasa, sbb kalau pakai simulator, kalau crash 100 kali pon tak teruk la nak maintenance. ye pon mende ni hobby yang takde generate income, so kenela pikir banyak10 kali pasal maintenance cost dan sume22..tengok dia terbang kat youtube mmg seronok, tapi aku rasa mau ketor tangan kalau saya yang control tuu..hehe...
saya ada kata tadi, 5 bulan lepas, ada tengok orang main heli kat youtube coaxial dan 2 blade, electric - belt cp v2 yang popular ari tuuu.. tapi skang dah belt cp cx dan honey bee ct untuk kategori electric 6 channel. tapi skang, aku mula advance dengan menonton beberapa helicopter advance sikit dari electric.. mesti korang igt nitro fuel kan, tapi bukan juga, sebenarnya aku tengah teruja pada 2 hari lepas menonton TURBINE JET ENGINE SCALED MODEL HELICOPTER. mmg mmg dashyat..nnt aku share apa yang aku tengok kat youtube..sapa sapa yang baca blog aku ni, jgn tangkap leleh dah la yer...

Ni la dia Turbine Scaled Helicopter Model yang bagi aku amat amat mahal. mesti korang igt aku org malaysia kata TSHM ni mahal sbb aku duduk kat Malaysia kan, tp sebenarnya orang oversea pon kata mmg mahal dan mmg impian setiap orang laki2 la untuk memiliki dan menerbangkan TSHM macam ni. Berapa harga? ada aku tengok kat diorang punya komen sepanjang aku melayari blog, forum dan sebagainya, lebih kurang 20 k USD. bawak balik malaysia, agak2 la darab 3, so 60 k dalam MYR. mmg hebat la sapa yang ada ni..kalau dengan nilai banyak tu, kiranya boleh beli moto CC besar yang biasa nampak kat highway tu cth kawasaki 750z yang popular digunakan oleh orang2 sekarang.. so mmg ni hobby ni, turbine heli ni, nampak gaya inilah kemuncaknya...hahaa..tp dengan modal yang banyak tu, apa yang korang akan dapat? kalau mancing, dapat la ikan kan, kalau kumpul duit syiling, harapan10-20 tahun lagi boleh la jual ngan harga tinggi sikit. kalau naik moto besar, bole la bawak laju2 kat hiway tp kalau terlibat ngan hobby ni, apa yang korang dapat? jawapannya..korang akan dapat SATISFACTION.kepuasan memiliki sebuah helicopter yang mmg handal dan membuatkan mata setipa orang menoleh sampai teleng kepala. lastly, boleh dapat tepukan gemuruh, selepas heli ni mendarat dengan selamatnya. tapi igt, sebelum tu, seme orang berdebar bila nak fly or in flight.

So sekarang, kita turun bawah sikit satu level turbine heli. iaitu nitro engine heli. haa.. yang ni kelihatan agak kurang mendebarkan bila kita tak cakap pasal turbine heli yang harga dia puluh2 ribu tadi..yang ni pulak, harga dia dalam ribu2 je..lingkungan 10 ribu ke bawah...ada yang aku tengok paling kurang dalam rm2000. tak boleh nak bagi contoh sebab tak otai lagi dalam jenis jenis heli ni. tapi, yang ni bukan la scaled model heli, tapi lebih kepada 3D heli. so, apa yang kita maksud dengan 3D? nnt lepas ni aku cerita. skang ni cerita pasal nitro engine heli. macam kat bawah ni.

ok. so dah nampak skang, heli ni nampak asap yang keluar dari dia punya engine exshaust, so ni la nitro heli.guna nitro fuel. and dalam video ni jugak dah tunjuk helikopter terbalik2, tu la yang dipanggil 3D FLYING. bole buat pusing pusing, terbalik, meniarap, merangkak semua pon boleh asalkan dah power dan mahir dalam control heli ni.. saiz dia ni agak kecil lagi dari turbine heli di atas tadi, dan selalunya diklasifikasikan ikut panjang blade, 500, 600 series. sebab tu la, heli dalam outube ni dipanggil heli trex 600.

oleh itu, kita turun ke bawah satu level lagi, iaitu electric heli. ok, lebih green dan tiada bunyi yang bising mcm nitro engine dan juga tiada bunyi yang syiioookk macam turbine heli. tapi lebih senyap, green dan mudah sedikit digunakan.
untuk rc heli elektrik, ada banyak variasi dia, ada yang single blade dan ada juga yang co axial. skarang kita cerita pasal single blade dulu.

so, electric model heli ni mmg agak menarik kan. selain affordable, bunyi lebih senyap berbanding nitro atau turbine. dan lebih kecil dari kedua dua jenis tadi.. tapi, ini masih lagi bukan heli utk beginner atau pun newbie..sebab pe? senang je, kalau crash, dan yang pastinya mesti akan crash, pasti ada parts yang akan rosak contoh main blade, rotor blade, tak pun gear antara blade ngan engine tu mau hilang gigi dia atau rongak..hahaa..bila jadi camni, selalunya org akan stop dengan hobby ni, sbb nak beli dia punya parts tu bukan murah ler, (aviation punya parts mmg mahal pon)..so itu la selalunya yang terjadi bila heli camni craash...oh nooo..crashhh...

kenapa co axial? co axial ni dimaksudkan dengan main blade dia.. ada dua kipas yang berlawan arah putaran untuk counter torque. so mmg, co axial ni tak perlu tail rotor, yang kita tahu tail rotor ni berfungsi untuk melawan torque hasil dari putaran main blade...so, skang kita tahu kenapa dia nak guna 2 main rotor kat atas tu.. tp walaupun takde tail rotor, heli ni pun boleh buat gerakan mcm heli biasa juga. yawing, pitching, forward flight, rolling..tapi dia adalah lebih stabil berbanding ngan heli yang tiada co zcial punya function ni.. thats why, for those who want to start flying, bole start ngan co axial heli ni. restriction dia, sbb dia kecil, so digalakkan utk main indoor. kalau nak main outdoor pon bole, tp kalau kene terbang angin pastu sangkut atas bumbung, nasib hangpa la nak p cari kait tang mana..
berkenaan dengan transmitter, Tx dia, ni masih menggunakan 4 channel. utk lisft throttle, yawing, pitching dan rolling.

Here, I want to highlight new event that I have visited last saturday on 6 november 2010..wow…this is the event that I ve waited for ages, watch and touch live aircraft…yes..TUDM Butterworth open day..
Before this I didn’t have much luck to visit aircraft display such as this. Last event that I have went in my life is LIMA 2005 and LIMA 2003 (my 1st year study).
I am very excited until I hope the day is faster on friday (5 nov), because this day is deepavali holiday..when I am busy preparing the house for my two beloved person, sayang n naqib, I hope the day went fast so that saturday comes faster…
On 8am, 6 nov 2010, I wake up early, around 630-700 am…usually I will put my phone to alarm me at 7.30 am (work days also apply..hehe)..but today, I wake up and quickly bath myself..after I start the engine of my myvi, me myself hope that sayang and naqib was here, with me, so that three of us can go together and I can show them what I am enthusiast for in my years study in aerospace engineering and also my work at my former school…
I ve went with my friend, rashid, a sarawak boy..
we arrived there around 10.30 am, and at first glance, I am very surprised with the cars parks along the side road towards tudm base. Wow! What is so suprising, how did they knew about this event even though there are no publicity either from media, internet or others…so how did I knew about this event? eventually my student have approach me 2 weeks before asking permission to borrow school property to go for a display task for tudm open day…fortunately I knew about it, abd of course ive set my date for this tudm open day. enough…

After I ve parked my car in one of the fenced tudm facilities, I walked around 1 minutes and arrived at the main gate. what I noticed is, I saw 2 big banner that inform the open day event and the date and time. only that banner, and this event have attracted thousand crowds… I also noticed, visitors walk fast to the event that is located around 4 minutes that is around their hangar..wow! these people really excited, bringing their children, wife, old people to the event just to see fighter airplanes..
The guard have checked my slr bag to see if there is anything in that bag, and not missed, metal scanner to scan dangerous things on my body…

the event have been divided onto three area..booth..real aircraft static display and airshow..
There are many agencies for the booth exhibition. some come from Jabatan Pertahanan Awam, TUDM them self, F 5 squadron showing their aerial imaging, missiles, cannon, motorbike, scaled aircraft model, 100 years Malaysia flight, and many more…
